What has been your most memorable moment in 2011?

Spain, most definitely. Finally being able to visit a country I’ve waited so long to see, after spending 6 months learning about its history, culture, art, food, language, and lifestyle, was the most incredible point in my life so far. I only got to visit for 10 days, but I look forward to 2012 when I will (hopefully!) be able to visit for 5-6 months.

How much have you changed overall in 2011?

I’ve become such a stronger person emotionally this year. I got out of an abusive relationship after a year and a half, which I never thought I had the strength to do. I’m still working on myself, but that was such a big step for me.

A person who has affected your life in some way this year.

This year, I’ve gotten really close with a friend of mine at school. I barely knew her at all before I broke up with my ex, but after that, we became close friends. We’ve had a lot of drama to deal with this year, and we bonded over that. I love our 3 hours conversations over cigarettes, coffee, and french fries. During the last part of fall semester, it was really busy and we barely saw each other, but I’m looking forward to next semester when we’ll be able to spend more time talking and hanging out. You’re awesome, dear, and you know I’m always here for you. :)

Something you’ve learned this year.

Wow, I’ve learned so much this year… but I think the things I’ve learned the most about are my limits. Limits in relationships, limits in school and work, limits at home. I’ve pushed myself to my limit every step of the way this year, and it took over my life. I’m glad I did though, because now I know how far I can go before I break down.

Describe an adventure you had this year.

Going to Vancouver, BC was really fun. So much happened over the course of the three days, it is impossible to believe. I got in a car accident, was in a building that was on fire, got incredibly sick over the weekend, got completely trashed at a gay bar, took some amazing pictures, and drove all the way there and back.

Any words of wisdom/advice for anyone?

To all those college freshmen, enjoy the experience while you can. Party, mess up, procrastinate, hang out, make new friends, do things you’d never do. Now is the time to do it, before college is over. It flies by.

10 things you want to say 10 people?

I wish you could stop being so judgmental about our friends. Honestly, that’s why I decided to do what I did… because I can’t stand being around you that much anymore.
I’ll always be there for you to talk. I know it’s been really hard on you, and you still love her more than anything, but it will get better. And until it does, I’m here.
Sometimes I wish you’d stop sleeping with so many girls…but then I realize I’m just jealous. Carry on.
My life is what I decide to do with it. My choices are mine, and they affect me and me alone. You have no right to judge me based on the decisions I make. It’s not your place and I’d prefer if you kept your opinions to yourself.
I feel like we could grow to have a great connection, and I hope we can become better friends in 2012.
We’ve grown distant this year because I haven’t been around, and I hope we can rekindle our relationship next year.
Just get over it, already. Please.
I hope we can go to grad. school together. :D
I still love you. I try not to think about it, but sometimes I just miss us. Could it ever work between us? Probably not. But you’ll always hold a special place in my heart, and the things you did for me will never be forgotten.
I’m glad you’re a part of the family….again. haha.
